The Lion...

Have you ever heard a lion roar in real life?... I have. It was at the Cleveland Zoo. I wasn't near the lion enclousre. I was far away, but his roar carried, and people all over the zoo came to where he was to see him. He was standing on his hill. His sides were moving in and out with his effort, and THAT ROAR, --- INDESCRIBABLE. To hear that is to know another reason WHY the lion is called the King Of Beasts. That lion, a male in his vigorous young prime, probably weighted 350 pounds. "Here comes a lion, Father!"... The phrase "ah mienya" is part of the iconic opening chant of "Circle of Life" from Disney's "The Lion King". The lyrics, sung in Zulu, express themes of identity, belonging, and resilience.
